At Blueprints for Healing, my work is rooted in the belief that healing is not one-size-fits-all. We all carry different stories, identities, and experiences and those stories deserve care that is thoughtful, culturally grounded, and responsive to the world we live in.
I focus on culturally conscious care, with particular attention to how systemic oppression, trauma, and mental health gaps impact individuals and communities especially those who have historically been overlooked or underserved. My goal is to create spaces where people feel safe enough to show up as themselves, supported enough to grow, and empowered enough to move toward the lives they want.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked across a range of settings including schools, hospitals, community mental health, and forensic environments. That experience allows me to bring both clinical depth and real-world understanding into the psychological space, meeting people where they are while helping them move forward.
Population wise, I have a special interest in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. My approach is intersectional, trauma-informed, and reflexive. Across age groups, I support clients navigating:
Trauma and chronic stress
Neurodivergence
Anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation
Identity development
Family and relational challenges
Additionally, I engage in community education, training, and advocacy, facilitating conversations, workshops, and specialized trainings- such as structured play groups. Whether in classrooms, conferences, or community spaces, my goal is to make psychological knowledge accessible, relevant, and transformative.
At the end of the day, Blueprints for Healing is about helping people reconnect, with themselves, with their stories, and with their capacity to heal.
I believe that healing is possible, your experiences deserve to be understood in context, and most importantly, you don’t have to navigate it all alone
The community that shaped me continues to inspire my work. As a mother of three, a caregiver, wife, and friend, my life is rooted in connection, care, and love. I find joy in exploring all forms of art, appreciating how they reflect and celebrate the beauty of our shared experiences.
Hi! I’m Dr. Mashburn.
